After getting this domain name and webspace for more than half a year, I finally put something on it – my blog site http://blog.xfai.net and my online photo gallery http://photo.xfai.net
Online blogging has been getting more and more popular since year 2004. I have wantted to get my own blog site for long time, one is hosted and administratd by myself rather than some free online blog. I used to code a simple blog and photo album site using PHP+MySQL, which was part of a porject in my previous company. Since it was coded by myself it’s fully customized as what I wanted. But due to the limited time and effort I put in doing it, it’s far from good. Recently I found this open source blog application WordPress and photo gallery application Gallery2. These 2 open source applications are good. It just took me half day to customize it and install it on the server.
