after long time waiting aventail works in leopard at last… though it’s still not official supported. with the new release of the aventail vpn client (version 8.9.0.263) i could connect to company private network by playing a small trick - creating a file named ‘avc.noevent’ under user’s home directory, which will disable OS event monitoring.
with the vpn connected im able to access company exchange emails in “Mail” as well

Do you have the 8.9 .dmg? 8.7 won’t install on 10.5 and 9.0.0.111 doesn’t work even with the avc.noevent workaround.

Aventail (SonicWall) has a 9.0 client that does work with Mac OS 10.5. We have several users working with already. So contact them
